We’ve already covered how important it is to at least spellcheck and proofread your writing. If you post to message boards using Firefox, you have a built in spellchecker you can work with. If you don’t (and why don’t you?), check out SpellJax, an AJAX powered spellchecker.

Just copy and paste your text in to the window and click the “check spelling button”. SpellJax is based on GNU Aspell, a free and open source spell checker, and also offers (with varying succes) different language options. For players posting to forums, if you type your text here first instead of in the forum text box, it will give you a bit of a backup in case the server times out and loses everything you just wrote.
